key verses:
  • John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Galatians 3:26: For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
  • Galatians 3:26: For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.

Everyone is born into sin: As a Pharisee, this would have been something well known to Nicodemus. As a religious leader it would have been part of his job to teach people about sin, how to avoid it, and how to atone for it.

Through Jesus, our sins are forgiven: The Pharisees, including Nicodemus, were well versed in how to atone for sins. There are many passages in the Old Testament that prescribe certain sacrifices for specific sins. That death is the only way to pay for sin was well known to the religious leaders of the time. That Jesus was sent to atone for all sin was something that Nicodemus and his fellow Pharisees had difficulty believing.

Faith in Christ is a new birth into God’s family: This idea would have been quite foreign to Nicodemus and the Pharisees. Moses and other great prophets of God had been blessed and even taken to Heaven, but the idea that God would accept everyone, including some of the worst sinners of their day, into His family was not something they understood.

verse overview:
  • John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Galatians 3:26: For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
Because of the sin that had entered the world, sending Jesus to save us was the only way that He could be with us for eternity. All we have to do is believe in Jesus and the sacrifice that He made for us.
  • Galatians 3:26: For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
When we believe in Jesus, we all become a part of God’s family.

When we believe in Jesus we are born again into the family of God.

Here’s a Simple Prayer to Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You so much for accepting us into Your family through Your Son! Thank You for loving us so much that You would send Your Son to save us from sin and death. Help us to always be thankful for the sacrifice He made for us. We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

Kids Cove – Dreams in Prison ?

Watch below and observe –

that no matter where we are, no matter the situation, God is in control.

key verses:
  • Genesis 40:8: And they replied, “We both had dreams last night, but no one can tell us what they mean.”
  • Isaiah 41:10: “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

God knows everything: Joseph was able to interpret the dreams because there is nothing that God doesn’t know.
There are going to be times in life when we don’t know how to do something or how to get through a tricky situation. When we don’t know what to do, God always does. God has promised to give us wisdom when we ask for it.

God is all powerful: No matter where Joseph went in his life, palace or prison, God worked his plan through him. There is nothing in life that can stop God or thwart his plans.
Sometimes our lives don’t go according to our plans. No matter what happens, there is never going to be something so bad or so far off course that God can’t work with or correct. There is nothing in life that can stop God or thwart His plans.

God is sovereign: God had already decided that it was through Joseph that he would save his people from the coming famine. Thus, Joseph’s story, while it may not have always made sense to Joseph, was always working together toward God’s good plan (Romans 8:28).
When God created us, He had a plan for our lives. He gave us gifts to help us successfully accomplish His plan for our lives. Life may sometimes look messy, but God knows what we’re going through, and He knows how to make everything right.

From the prison to the palace, God is in control.

Here’s a Simple Prayer to Pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the blessings You have given us to help us be successful in the mission You have planned for our lives. Help us to use these blessings to help others and to bring You glory.
We ask these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Kids Cove – The Woman at The Well

Watch below and observe – we don’t need to be perfect to worship Jesus.
Through our faith in and worship of God, we receive a new, better, & eternal life.

Key Verses:
  • John 4:14: “But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

  • John 7:38: “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'”

CHECK IT OUT …
Jesus is drawn to the outsiders and the vulnerable: While Jesus was a Jew, He understood far more than those living at His time. At the time Jesus lived as a man on Earth, Jews saw Samaritans as beneath them. Jesus didn’t see it that way. He saw Samaritans—and everyone else, for that matter—as people whom He loved and wanted to save just as much as the Jews. Because of that, Jesus was often found talking to people considered to be undesirable, trying to help them see the error in their ways and turn back to God.

Jesus is bigger than our past mistakes and failures: The Samaritan woman Jesus met at the well had made a number of bad choices in her life, which led her to having married five men and living with another to whom she was not married. These bad decisions weren’t enough to put off Jesus from talking to her. He knew what she had done and was doing, but He didn’t care. He knew she could change and turn away from her sin, and He wanted to talk to her to give her that chance.

Jesus offers us all a new and eternal life: During Jesus’s life, Jews believed that God could be worshiped only in the temple in Jerusalem, while Samaritans believed God could be worshiped elsewhere. Jesus was explaining to the woman at the well that His life and sacrifice was going to make it so that God could be worshiped anywhere by anyone.

Jesus’ sacrifice would save not just the Jews but Everyone.

Here’s a simple prayer to pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for accepting us as we are. Thank You for the gift of salvation and eternal life through Your Son, Jesus. Help us to become more like Him as we walk through life with You at our side. We ask these things in Jesus’s name, Amen.
